Pardon the pun, when it comes to awkward and sexist representations of ladies in music, does hiphop deserve the bad hip hop? Almost solely blamed for the unfavorable images of girls in music videos, hip hop can often be perceived as unforgivingly misogynistic.

In hiphop and hiphop, many of the lyrics and images portray women coming from all ethnicities because sexual objects and show the exploitation of and violence against women. The image of a large number of semi-naked ladies dancing provocatively around one blinged-out rapper has become standard in music-video. Similarly, pimps have morphed from abusive, controlling and criminal guys to trendy, elegant icons. Hip hop has become a chaos of impractical and debatably dangerous photos of female sexuality. Ludacris' song and video " Pimping Throughout the World” is an excellent example of misogyny (hatred toward women) in hip hop. The lyrics to these songs list females off just like possessions: " The extravagant cars, the ladies and the caviar. ” Further, the musician dismisses the woman protests that he uses her intended for sex simply by saying that this individual takes her places. Ludacris raps, "[…]no longer always believe I'm tryna get in the pants, trigger see me my Pimpin's in 3-D, I'm takin you locations you only discover on T. V. ” It's clear that love-making is just something different to buy and that the woman is equally as easily removed. The lyrics describe the harsh reality: "[…] it's plenty girls to see, therefore if years old ass may show up is actually more women to me. ” Some defend the sexism in hip hop as being part of the rap artist's lifestyle. If hiphop artists will be representing all their cultural truth, I wonder why there are several videos presenting several scantily-clad women moving provocatively around a male musician. I believe it is hard to trust that any kind of hip hop specialist grew up or lives in that reality. So , how do this graphic become the accepted standard of hip hop music's video format?
